Found, Trusted, Chosen is a working program for experienced professionals standing up their own consulting practice. It is built from four of my books and years of hosting a podcast and running an agency.

Ask about the program →Most people who go out on their own after twenty years in a field are not short on expertise. They are short on a way to be known for it. For two decades the badge did that job. Clients called the company, the company sent you, and nobody outside the building had to remember your name.
Then you leave, and the phone gets quiet. Your network is real, but it is a list of people who liked working with you, and a list does not send work on its own.
I keep meeting people in exactly this spot, and sometimes their parents. Many of the hosts on the OGGN network are independent consultants who use a show to win work, and Elena Melchert, quoted below, came to me to work out how her podcast and her practice should fit together.
There is a newer wrinkle too. A growing share of buyers now ask ChatGPT or Perplexity for a name before they ask a colleague. If those systems describe you wrong, or not at all, you lose work you never knew was on the table.
What this program will not do: set up your LLC, your taxes, your contracts or your insurance. An accountant and an attorney do that better than I would. It also will not make you famous in six weeks. It gets the foundation right so the next year compounds instead of starting over every month.
Pick the narrow problem you want to own and say it in one sentence a stranger can repeat to someone else. Most people skip this and spend a year being a generalist nobody can refer.
From Build Your Brand Mania →Why a podcast is the fastest trust engine a solo consultant has: every guest is a prospect, a referral source or a peer. Format, booking guests, and what to do with an episode after it airs.
From Know, Like, and Trust →One conversation turned into the articles, posts and pages that keep working after you stop posting. The goal is fewer pieces that get found for years, not a daily feed.
From The Unknown Secrets of Internet Marketing →ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity each do different jobs well. We set them up on your own material, live, so a one person firm can turn out proposals, show notes and follow ups in your own voice, in a fraction of the time.
Built live on the callsWe check how the major AI assistants describe you on day one, fix what they get wrong at the source, and check again at the end. You leave with the before and after in writing.
From LLM Visibility →Turning attention into conversations, and conversations into signed work. You finish with a 90 day plan written for your practice, not a template.
From Build Your Brand Mania →"As the host of the Oil and Gas Upstream Podcast, I sought Matt's expertise prior to attending OTC 2023 in order to better align my consultancy with my podcast. His strategies not only helped me understand what I needed to do but also helped me to better understand how to help my current clients and future clients."
"Matt has tremendous depth of knowledge combined with the enviable ability to break topics down so they are consumable."
You spent years getting good at something specific. You have left, or you are about to, and you would rather build a practice than take the next job. You are comfortable being the face of it, or willing to get comfortable.
Energy and industrial people are the core of who I work with, and the examples lean that way. The method is not industry specific. If your expertise is real and narrow, it transfers.
It is probably not for you if you want someone else to do all of it. That is a different engagement, and I will point you to it.
Send two sentences on what you did and what you want to be known for next. I will tell you straight whether this program is the right step or whether you need something else.
